Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday to win their third IPL championship.

On Sunday, May 26, 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL final to win the trophy for the third time. For all of the KKR supporters, including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, this is an extremely special occasion. She offered her sincere congratulations to the franchise, support personnel, and team players for their incredible accomplishment that broke records.

Shah Rukh Khan, a co-owner of KKR, rejoiced over the win and sent his best wishes and love to his teammates. He embraced every member of the team and even planted a kiss on the forehead of team captain Gautam Gambhir. This is the franchise’s third championship; Gautam Gambhir led the squad to victory in its previous two championships, which it won in 2012 and 2014.

In the championship game, KKR turned to X and gave their opponents a touching message. The Riders honored the SRH and showered them with compliments for their outstanding IPL 2024 season.

In the championship match, Kolkata Knight Riders outperformed SRH with their all-around effort. The KKR spinner, who lost the toss, held the SRH team to just 113 runs in just 10.3 overs with having eight wickets in hand.
