The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) announced Rs. 11 lakh in prize money for ground staff at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore following the conclusion of the second ODI match between India and Australia on Sunday.

The game featured two rain delays in each innings, including a one-hour delay caused by torrential rain that blanketed the whole field.

“The ground staff will receive Rs. 11 lakhs in appreciation of a great coordinated effort to enable the game today,” Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association president Abhilash Khandekar stated.

The first rain delay lasted approximately 30 minutes. The second break, though, resulted in the loss of 17 overs.

India scored 399 for five, setting a total of 400 for Australia to chase. After the break, the visitor was given a revised target of 317 in 33 overs.
