The International Cricket Council has announced the prize money for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which will be held in the UAE next month.

This considerable gain assures that the victors of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will walk away with a stunning $2.34 million, a 134% increase over the $1 million handed to the champions, Australia, in 2023.

Moreover, teams that withdraw during the group phase would not go home with nothing. All ten competing teams will get a base reward of $112,500, for a total prize money of $1.125 million. This guarantees that every team, regardless of their performance, will receive significant assistance for taking part.

Teams ranked fifth through eighth will receive $270,000 apiece, while those ranked ninth and tenth will receive $135,000. By making sure that all teams and players receive adequate assistance, these adjustments demonstrate the ICC’s dedication to developing and promoting women’s cricket. On October 3, the main event is scheduled to begin. The doubleheader match on Saturday, October 5, in Sharjah has a slightly altered schedule: Australia will now face Sri Lanka in the afternoon at 14:00, while Bangladesh will play England in the evening at 18:00 local time.
