James White, who is 33 years old, admitted a single charge of displaying threatening or Asif writing that is likely to cause harassment or distress.

Manchester United was fined and also banned from football in the UK for around 4 years on Monday for wearing a replica shirt mocking the tragedy of Hillsborough. Police received a number of complaints about the shirt of James White with the figure 97 and the words “not enough” on the back at the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium this month. This refers to the 97 fans of United’s archrival Liverpool who were victims of a crush during an FA Cup semi-final match at the stadium in Sheffield in April 1989.
James White, who is 33 years old, admitted a single charge of displaying threatening or Asif writing that is likely to cause harassment or distress.
Judge Mark Jabbitt told him when he appeared in court for sentences that it is hard to imagine a more offensive reference to the 1989 Hillsborough disaster.
He is fined 1000 pounds with a 400-pound victim surcharge, and the court ordered him to pay 85 pounds in court costs. He has also been banned from attending football games for around 4 years.
