Virat Kohli surpasses Shah Rukh and Ranveer to become the most valuable Celebrity


‘Celebrity Brand Valuation Report 2023: Brands, Business, Bollywood’ from Kroll shows that cricketer Virat Kohli has recaptured the top rank in terms of brand value, currently standing at $227.9 million, surpassing Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, who retains the second slot with $203.1 million.
Through an evaluation of their brand values ascertained from endorsements and social media activity, the report rates the most significant celebrity brands in India.According to the research, the top 25 Indian celebrities’ aggregate brand worth increased by 18% from the previous year to $1.9 billion in 2023. With a brand value of $120.7 million, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan has risen to the third spot among India’s top five celebrity endorsers since 2020, thanks to the success of three huge hits in 2023.

Alia Bhatt has jumped to fifth place with a brand worth of $101.1 million, while Akshay Kumar has fallen to fourth place this year with a brand value of $111.7 million.
Kiara Advani’s notable move from 16th to 12th place in terms of brand value and Katrina Kaif’s return to the list of top celebrity brands after a five-year break are two noteworthy changes.
“The theme of the 2023 study is ‘brands, business, Bollywood,’ which recognizes the expansion of celebrity-owned startups across various industries and the spectacular rise of Indian celebrities as global ambassadors of reputable global brands,” stated Aviral Jain, managing director of valuation advisory services at Kroll. In 2023, Bollywood made a strong return to the film business with hits like Gadar 2, Pathaan, and Animal shattering box office records and earning over $100 million, reinstating the Bollywood brand.
