Vengsarkar discussed Rohit Sharma’s performance, Shubman Gill’s future, and how English circumstances differ from those in most other countries.

Dilip Vengsarkar has experience in scoring runs in England. The fifth-placed Indian hitter with the most Test runs in England is the “Colonel,” as he is affectionately nicknamed. With four centuries and the same number of half-centuries, he amassed 960 runs in 13 games in England, averaging 48. Additionally, he is the only Indian with three century at the venerable Lord’s. The World Test Championship final between India and Australia, scheduled to be contested at The Oval in London, was discussed by the previous head of selectors for India with Hindustan Times.
