Sunrisers Hyderabad climbs to fifth place after defeating Chennai Super Kings

Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated the Chennai Super Kings for the second time in a row on Friday, moving up to fifth place in the Indian Premier League.

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders remained on top after defeating Delhi Capitals by 105 runs. Because of their lower run rate, the Rajasthan Royals fell to second place after their massive victory. Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants remained at third and fourth, respectively.

Because of their severe defeat to Kolkata, Delhi dropped to ninth place in the rankings, trailing only the Mumbai Indians. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru benefited unexpectedly from KKR’s triumph, rising to eighth place.

CSK, KKR, RR, and LSG are the four teams currently in the top four. The top four clubs will advance to the playoffs. The top two teams will face off in the first round of playoffs, with the victor advancing directly to the final. The eliminator will be contested between the teams placed third and fourth. The victor of the eliminator will face the losing club from the first playoff round. The winner of the second playoff will go to the final, which will be held on May 26.
