After the recently ended India vs. West Indies ODI series, Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav all move up in the ICC ODI Rankings.

A number of Indian players have experienced huge increases in the ICC ODI Rankings with the World Cup 2023 only two months away. Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan have moved up 2 and 9 rankings, respectively, after the IND versus WI ODI series was over. In the category for all-rounders, captain Hardik Pandya rose five spots to 11th, and Kuldeep Yadav joined the top 10 for ODIs.

During India’s recent 2-1 ODI series victory against the West Indies, the inexperienced top-order batting duo of Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan was among the team’s standout batsmen. The two combined for 310 runs over the course of the three games.

The ICC revised its list of batter rankings on Wednesday, and both players were awarded with new career-high ratings. Gill moved up two spots to fifth overall, putting him close to two Pakistani players.

On the strength of his outstanding series against the West Indies, Gill advances to 743 rating points in the ICC ODI batter rankings, putting third-placed Fakhar Zaman (755) and fourth-placed Imam-ul-Haq (745) firmly within his reach. Pakistan captain Babar Azam maintains a significant lead in the standings.

While veteran all-rounder Hardik Pandya rises 10 spots to tie for 71st after his performance against the West Indies, Kishan also achieves a new career high rating after moving up nine spots to 36th overall.

While left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav and underappreciated seamer Shardul Thakur made the biggest impacts on the rankings for ODI bowlers, Pandya advanced five spots to rank 11th overall among ODI all-rounders.

Kuldeep moved up four ranks to land in the top 10 at position 10 after taking seven wickets in the series against the West Indies, while Thakur, who led both teams with a series-high eight takedowns, moves up three spots to position 30.
