Sanju Samson said in an open conversation how difficult it has been for him to establish himself on the Indian team.

Sanju Samson, a well-known cricket player in India, has had an interesting trip thus far. Samson is a mainstay of the Indian Premier League’s Rajasthan Royals, but he hasn’t exactly been able to establish himself in any of the three forms for the Indian squad. Samson was questioned about his thoughts on choosing the national team, with talk of the T20 World Cup selection rife ahead of the IPL 2024 season. With a reaction that was brutally honest, the wicket-keeper batter demonstrated how fiercely competitive the Indian team’s spots are.

Samson said in an interview with Star Sports that a Keralan like him would have to secure a berth on the Indian national squad.

“When you play cricket in the greatest nation on earth—India, which leads the globe in player count, talent, and competitions—you have to be a guy from Kerala. Samson stated to Star Sports on their program Star Nahi Far that “he needs to do something special if he wants to come and solidify his place in the national side.”

Samson discussed his batting strategy, saying he always thought it was important to stand out and that he wouldn’t mind smashing a six off the first ball he faced.
“I’ve always wanted to develop my own style and make a statement with the way I bat. I wanted to go out there and hit a six, no matter if it was the first ball. That was the mental adjustment. I desired to take a different approach. Why must ten balls pass before a six is hit? That served as the inspiration for the creation of my power punching.”
“I worked really hard during the Covid period, and many people were quite helpful to me. I’m overjoyed with how well things are going. I’m never pleased, therefore the grind never ends. For the team that I play for, I simply want to keep going and achieving amazing things,” Samson said.
