At the current U17 World Wrestling Championship in Amman, Jordan, Ronak Dahiya of India won the bronze medal in the 110 kg Greco-Roman division.

Ronak Dahiya of India won the bronze medal in the 110 kg Greco-Roman category in the ongoing U17 World Wrestling Championship in Amman, Jordan. Ronak, who is now rated second in the world in his age-group weight category, defeated Turkey’s Emrullah Capkan 6-1 in the bronze medal play-off on Tuesday to win India’s first medal at the championships. Previously, Ronak lost to eventual silver medalist Zoltan Czako of Hungary in the semi-final. Ukraine’s Ivan Yankovskyi won gold in this event, defeating Czako 13-4 due to technical superiority.

India has a potential to win a second medal in the 51 kg repechage if Sainath Pardhi wins two fights.

He will first face Dominic Michael Munaretto of the United States, and if he wins, he will compete in the bronze medal play-off for repechage against the winner of the battle between Armenian Sargis Harutyunan and Iuri Chapidze of Georgia.
