Rishabh Pant has been faithful to the Delhi Capitals since his IPL debut in 2016.In 99 matches for DC, Pant has scored 2,856 runs at an average of 34.40 and a strike rate of 147.90, including a century and 15 fifties in 98 innings. His highest score is 128*. Pant has scored the most runs for Delhi since the team’s establishment in 2008, with David Warner (2,433 runs in 84 matches) and Virender Sehwag (2,382 runs in 87 matches) rounding out the top three.

Pant came on the scene in 2018 with a breakthrough season, having previously shown some promise as a young upstart in 2016 and 2017, collecting 198 runs in 10 innings and 366 runs in 14 games, respectively. With a remarkable strike rate of 173.60 and an average of 52.62 in 14 games during that season, Pant amassed 684 runs. With a top score of 128*, he scored five fifty and a hundred.

One of the left-hander’s career highlights was his free-flowing 128* in 63 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), which included seven sixes and 15 fours at a strike rate of over 203. Coming in with his team at 43/3, the southpaw single-handedly led them to a match-winning 187/5.

This knock featured many daring, never-before-seen sweeps, scoops, and one-handed sixes that, in the years to come, would become signature shots for Pant. He particularly destroyed Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar during this innings, hitting him for 43 runs in 11 balls with four boundaries and four sixes. He did not spare the legendary T20 spinner Rashid Khan either, hitting four boundaries and a six in his 27 runs off just 13 balls.

In 2021, Pant was chosen to lead the team as captain. He has led his team to 16 victories, 14 defeats, and 1 draw while captain. 51.61 is his win percentage. He played for the 2020 DC squad, which advanced to the championship match but was defeated by the Mumbai Indians (MI) by five wickets.

After a potentially fatal car accident in December 2022, Rishabh returned to competitive cricket. Against Punjab Kings (PBKS), he scored 18 runs in 13 balls and two fours in his comeback inning. This time around, the young batter-wickekeeper combo will be fired up to wow the Jaipur crowd with considerably improved performance.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson (w/c), Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jurel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Sandeep Sharma, Avesh Khan, Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, Tanush Kotian, Shubham Dubey, Kuldeep Sen, Navdeep Saini, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Prasidh Krishna, Donovan Ferreira, Abid Mushtaq, Kunal Singh Rathore: this is the Rajasthan Royals squad.
