Sanju Samson, the captain of RR, scored an undefeated 82 in 52 balls as they amassed 193 for 4. Leading from the front, Samson and Riyan Parag (43), together for 93 runs for the third wicket, smashed three fours and six sixes.
Nicholas Pooran’s undefeated 64 off 41 balls in response was in fruitless as LSG closed at 173 for 6. KL Rahul, the captain, consumed a lot of deliveries with a calm 58 off 44 balls.
