After leading Australia to victory in the Cricket World Cup 2023, skipper Pat Cummins came home. But supporters were confused by his bland welcome at the airport.

The Australian cricket team returned home following an outstanding campaign in India for the Cricket World Cup 2023. For the sixth time in their history, Pat Cummins’ team won the ODI World Cup with a decisive victory over the hosts, India. Cummins and the other squad members arrived home on Wednesday morning, but social media seemed perplexed by the lack of enthusiasm for the ODI world champions. Fans shared the images that went viral on social media and questioned why the Australian cricket players weren’t given the hero’s welcome they so richly deserved.

insulting the hosts India’s feat of remaining undefeated until the tournament’s final is no small one. In every one of the three game areas, Cummins and his team outperformed Rohit Sharma’s team in the flawless execution of their World Cup final strategy.

However, social media users were left perplexed when they saw how unremarkable the Australian stars’ welcome home was.

When Cummins arrived, he thought back on the incredible accomplishment and stated that the thrill of winning the ODI world championship hadn’t quite set in.
“I anticipate that we will be grinning for some time. We can’t stop chatting. Reminiscent of your recent World Cup victory, you get thrilled every thirty minutes or so, Cummins stated at a press conference. “You only get one chance every four years and especially playing somewhere like India, it’s hard.”

“It doesn’t get any better than competing against athletes from around the world and winning a medal. We couldn’t have asked for more, he added, ‘especially with an away Ashes series and a World Test Championship.'”

Some Australian players have gone back to their homes, but some have remained in India for the five-match Twenty20 International series that starts on November 23.
