Pat Cummins Hits an India Star Player on the Arm During the WTC Finals


India Pacer Shardul Thakur grimaced in pain as he was hit by a delivery from Pat Cummins on the forearm during the WTC Finals.

All-rounder Shardul Thakur of the Indian Cricket Team was in a spot of bother during the finals of the World Test Championship against the Australia cricket team when he was struck in the forearm by a fiery delivery from Pat Cummins on Friday. Shardul was tested with short-pitched bowling from the Australia bowlers, and Cummins was the one who bothered him the most. One of the rising deliveries from Cummins hit Shardul straight on his forearm, which left him in pain. The physio of Team India had to intervene as the batsman received treatment for some time before he was ready to take strike once again against the Australia captain.

Team India was all out for 296 in their first innings, which gave Australia a huge lead of 173 runs on Day 3 of the World Test Championship final.

For Team India, comeback man Ajinkya Rahane scored 89 runs in 129 balls, while Shardul Thakur played a valuable innings of 51 from 109 balls after Ravindra Jadeja lost his wicket after scoring 48 runs in 51 balls on Day 2.
