During the third T20I against Afghanistan in Bengaluru on Wednesday, Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh scored 36 runs in one over but struck only five sixes. In the Indian innings’ final over, Rohit smashed Karim Janat for a four on the first ball and a six on the second, which was a no-ball. The following ball was a free hit that went for another six. Rohit could only take a single off the following delivery, the third real ball of the over. Rinku Singh faced the last three balls, and the left-hander smashed three sixes to bring the score to 212.

36 runs in an over, the highest total in T20I history, were scored for the third time in the competition following the feats of Kieron Pollard and Yuvraj Singh.

Together, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran amassed 50 runs to establish the chase and put on 93 runs for the first wicket.

Naib scored eighteen runs in the last over from fast bowler Mukesh Kumar to draw the game after Mohammad Nabi hammered a rapid 34 to keep his team in the hunt.

With four T20 tons, Rohit overtook Australia’s Glenn Maxwell and Suryakumar Yadav.

India amassed 103 runs in the last five overs, with sixes flying in. In the last over, Rohit and the left-handed Rinku struck 36 blows, one of which was a six off a no-ball.

The final Twenty20 international before the June T20 World Cup was contested by the hosts, who won the series after two victories.

Arm to left swiftly With stats of 3–20, Fareed Ahmad Malik inflicted early damage by getting rid of Virat Kohli, Sanju Samson, and Yashasvi Jaiswal (four), all of whom were out for first-ball ducks.

Rohit beat his previous T20 record of 118 and then rebuilt the innings, tearing apart the opposition attack.

Prior to the Indian Premier League T20 competition, India will now play five Test matches against England.
