KL Rahul is being teased in the video by Rohit Sharma and Mumbai Indians supporter Sunil Shetty.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin its new season on Friday when Chennai Super Kings (CSK) play Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The organizers unveiled a humorous advertisement depicting Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), and Suniel Shetty, a Bollywood actor, prior to the tournament’s commencement. For those who don’t know, Rahul, the actor’s married son Athiya Shetty, is the son-in-law of Shetty. Rohit and Mumbai Indians supporter Shetty can be seen making fun of Rahul in the video.

In the advertisement, Rohit can be heard stating, “Family dinner chal raha hai yaar.”

Rahul then contacted Shetty, addressing him as Papa in the commercial, but the actor stunned the LSG captain by responding, “No, papa. Jab tak tournament chal raha hai, mera beta, Sharma ji ka beta.”

Rohit posted a video of the humorous advertisement on X, which was formerly Twitter, and it has now gone popular on social media.

“Family time is finished, @klrahul, but rivalry time is still ahead! The video was captioned by Rohit, “@SunielVShetty ab hue humare.”

In the meantime, Rohit will play this season under Hardik Pandya’s leadership after the Mumbai Indians relieved him of the captaincy.

During the MI’s training on Wednesday, Hardik and Rohit gave each other hugs.

When asked if he got the opportunity to talk to Rohit about the leadership transition, Pandya gave a direct response.

“Both yes and no. Due to his trip, I haven’t had much time to speak with Rohit. At the event, Hardik remarked, “I will definitely catch up when he links up with the team.”

In addition, Pandya stated that even after the team unexpectedly announced a change in leadership prior to the 2017 season, Rohit will still serve as a mentor for him throughout the IPL.
He’ll be there to support me no matter what, therefore nothing will change. It is my responsibility to continue what he started and this team accomplished. In a media appearance, Pandya remarked, “He’s going to have his hand on my shoulders.”

“We honor supporters, but our priorities are the game and the necessary requirements. When asked about the supporters’ indignation over Rohit’s removal, he said, “I focus on the controllables, fans have every right, and I respect their opinion.”
