Mohammad Rizwan wished Virat Kohli a very happy birthday in advance. Kohli will turn 35 on November 5.
The legendary Indian batsman Virat Kohli will face South Africa at Eden Gardens on November 5th. The match falls on Kohli’s 35th birthday. Prior to that, Pakistan will face Bangladesh on October 31 at the same site in Kolkata. Meanwhile, Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan wished Kohli a happy birthday in early.
Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Rizwan seemed upbeat during the practise session before the Bangladesh match at Eden Gardens.
Rizwan had a lighthearted conversation with India Today – Aaj Tak on the sidelines of the stadium. He was also questioned about the next encounter between India and South Africa at Eden Park. On that point, when asked about Kohli’s birthday on the same day, he wished him.
“It’s nice to know that his birthday is on the 5th of November,” Rizwan stated. I wish him the best and a happy birthday, even if I don’t celebrate mine and don’t believe in it. Virat, I wish you a wonderful birthday. I’m hoping he can earn his 49th ODI century on his birthday. And I wish him luck in getting his 50th ODI century at this World Cup.”
Pakistan captain Babar Azam was also asked about Virat’s 35th birthday. But he didn’t say anything about it. Babar has been struggling with both his team and his own performance in the present World Cup. Babar has had several friendly meetings with Kohli.
While India has won six of their matches, Pakistan is hanging by a thread in terms of getting to the semi-finals, having lost their last four games in the tournament.
