Following Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s defeat in their IPL 2024 match against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday, the food delivery juggernaut Swiggy released a hilarious meme.

Even though Virat Kohli’s eighth IPL century made headlines, Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler’s century turned out to be the game-winning strike on Saturday. Virat Kohli’s record-tying 113 was overshadowed by Buttler’s heroics as Rajasthan Royals upset Royal Challengers Bengaluru by six wickets to win their fourth straight IPL game. With four straight victories, Royals lead the 10-team standings with four wins, while RCB dropped to seventh place after suffering three straight losses. Social media users were furious as RCB lost yet another IPL 2024 match, and the best meme was posted by popular meal delivery service Swiggy.Swiggy delightfully mocked RCB for losing their third consecutive game in five matches, but had nothing but admiration for Virat Kohli, who scored a ton on the occasion, albeit in a losing cause.

While Kohli cemented his place as RCB’s lone ranger by scoring his eighth IPL century, the team could only manage a disappointing 183/3 after the home side chose to bowl.
Then, in his 100th IPL appearance, the England white-ball skipper chose to wreck Kohli’s evening by playing a knock that was far superior than the former India captain’s effort in terms of intent and quality.
Buttler, who closed the IPL 2023 with three consecutive ducks and a best score of 13 in his last three innings, led the chase with five balls to spare.

In the final over, Buttler completed the chase by hitting a six off Cameron Green over deep square leg, recording his sixth IPL century.

With just 58 balls, he scored nine fours and four sixes in his performance.

Sanju Samson, the skipper, provided excellent support for Buttler during their season-high 148-run partnership, which all but ended the match.

Samson scored eight fours and two sixes en route to scoring 69 runs off of 42 balls. With eight points, Rajasthan Royals are now leading the standings, with a higher net run-rate than Kolkata Knight Riders.
