Since the final of the IPL 2024 is set to take place at the storied Chepauk stadium, the schedule for the second phase was revealed on Monday, March 25. This year’s competition will be held in India throughout, even with the Lok Sabha elections coming up.

The schedule for the second half of the current IPL 2024 season was revealed by the BCCI on Monday, March 25. The announcement on Monday has reaffirmed that this year’s IPL will take place in India, contrary to initial speculations suggesting otherwise, given the conflict with the Lok Sabha elections.

Given that the Lok Sabha elections in India are scheduled to take place during the IPL this year, there was a little delay in releasing the full schedule, with the BCCI only releasing the fixtures for the first 17 days.

The Qualifier 1 and Eliminator matches will take place in Ahmedabad on May 21 and 22 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The legendary Chepauk stadium in Chennai will host the second qualifier and the championship match. May 24 will be the second qualifier, while May 26 will mark the final.

Phase 1’s last game between the Gujarat Titans and the Lucknow team is set for April 7 at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium. The second phase will get underway at the Chepauk on April 8 when KKR takes on CSK.

The first Phase 2 double header will take place on Sunday, April 14, at 3:30 PM IST, when KKR hosts LSG at the Eden Gardens. Next up is the highly anticipated match between MI and CSK at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

The second phase will consist of 11 double header days in total. When the Delhi Capitals play Sunrisers Hyderbad on April 20, they will return to the Arun Jaitley stadium, where they have been playing in Phase 1.

Two matches each will be played at Dharmasala and Guwahati, with PBKS and RR hosting the home matches, respectively. At the HPCA stadium, Punjab will play CSK on May 5 and RCB on May 9.

For their matches against PBKS on May 15 and KKR on May 19, which also happens to be the last league game of the IPL 2024 season, RR will use Guwahati as their home stadium.
