Even though such a short goal would never have been a difficult total for India, early wickets would have given the West Indies some optimism. In some ways, they were successful in doing so by dismissing Shubhman Gill early, but a solid partnership between Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav meant the game was never out of the Indian Cricket Team’s grasp. India lost some wickets in an attempt to quickly chase the score, but they were always in command. Ishan struck a brilliant fifty in the chase, and India easily won by five wickets.
