The World Cup scheduling announcement stated that only one of PCB’s requests about the World Cup match venues had been granted by BCCI and ICC.

According to the schedule announced by the ICC at an event in Mumbai on Tuesday, Pakistan will play its nine group-stage matches in just five cities, while every other side will play its league games of the 2023 ODI World Cup across the 10 sites in India. The blockbuster India-Pakistan match was undoubtedly the highlight of the schedule announcement, but the schedule also showed that only one of PCB’s requests for World Cup match locations was granted by BCCI and ICC.

On October 6 and 12, Pakistan’s campaign will get underway against both qualifiers at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, and on October 15, Pakistan will play host to India in the championship match. On October 20, they will go to Bengaluru to play the five-time winners Australia. On October 23, they will play Afghanistan, and on October 27, they will play South Africa in Chennai.

The next day, Pakistan will fly to Kolkata, India, to play Bangladesh. They will then return to Bengaluru to play New Zealand on November 4 before concluding their league round against the defending world champions, England, on November 12 in Kolkata.
