Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, India’s top doubles combo, achieve to a career-high position of fourth in the latest BWF rankings released on Tuesday. The Satwik-Chirag duo has 74,651 points from 12 events after winning the Commonwealth Games gold medal and the French Open Super 750 championship last year and the Swiss Open Super 300 this season. HS Prannoy moved one spot to reclaim his first BWF World Tour championship at the Malaysia Masters last week, while Kidambi Srikanth climbed three spots to reclaim his place in the top 20. He is ranked 20th.
Lakshya Sen, on the other hand, dropped to world number 23 after exiting the Malaysia Masters early.
In women’s singles, double Olympic medalist PV Sindhu remained in 13th place, while Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand remained in 15th place in women’s doubles.
