position in the current ICC ODI rankings

According to the most recent ICC ODI rankings, which were made public on Wednesday (February 14), Afghanistan’s Muhammad Nabi has surpassed former Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan to take the top spot among all-rounders.

This happened after Nabi crushed 136 runs for 130 balls in the opening One-Day International (ODI) of the three-match series against Sri Lanka. For the sixth wicket, the right-handed batsman and Azmatullah Omarzai shared a record 242 runs together. In the first match of the series, he took a wicket with the ball.

With 314 rating points, Nabi has surpassed Shakib (310), who occupied the top spot for more than five years, by four points. Due to injury worries, the latter has now dropped to the second position after missing several games for Bangladesh.

In the meantime, South Africa’s elite spinner Keshav Maharaj has solidified his position as the top bowler in One-Day Internationals. Dilshan Madushanka moved up four spots to 33rd, and Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga surged fourteen spots to 26th.

Babar Azam of Pakistan maintains his position as the top batter. After his flawless 97 off 74 in the second game, Charith Asalanka of Sri Lanka moved up five spots to 15th place. Pathum Nissanka, the first game double centurion, also shot up 10 ranks to 19th, and Sadeera Samawickrama, after a graceful half-century, shot up six spots to 41st.

The top two players in the ICC Test rankings are Kane Williamson and Jasprit Bumrah.

Meanwhile, India’s Jasprit Bumrah and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson solidified their positions as the top bowler and batter in Test matches, respectively.

In a similar vein, Ravindra Jadeja is still ranked highest among all-rounders. After taking six wickets and making eight runs without losing against the Proteas in the first Test, Kyle Jamieson has climbed two spots to the thirteenth position.

According to the most recent ICC T20I rankings, Glenn Maxwell jumps 11 ranks.

Glenn Maxwell of Australia has moved up 11 ranks to 24th in the most recent ICC T20I rankings. That happened after he crushed the West Indies in the second Twenty20 International, scoring an undefeated 120 off 55 balls. Similarly, after his two half-centuries, Player of the Series David Warner moved up to 36th place, an improvement of 19 ranks.

Rovman Powell (four slots up to 25th), Johnson Charles (12 spots to 38th), and Tim David (35 places up to 27th) were other notable movers. In three Twenty20 Internationals against WI, Adam Zampa has taken five wickets and moved up to 11th rank among bowlers.

In the ICC T20I rankings for batters and bowlers, Suryakumar Yadav and Adil Rashid maintained their World No. 1 positions. Marcus Stoinis moved up three spots to take second place among all-rounders behind Shakib Al Hasan.
