On Sunday, the final match will be contested in Ahmedabad between the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings and the reigning champions Gujarat Titans. It will be a critical match since both teams will be vying for the prized trophy, especially the MS Dhoni-led side, who will be looking for their fifth triumph.

It will be CSK’s tenth participation in the championship game, while MS Dhoni will make his eleventh appearance, which is the most of any player to date. With eight appearances apiece, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ambati Rayudu are the next player on the list.

Notably, Dhoni will make his 250th appearance in the IPL during the championship game, making him the only player in the league’s illustrious history to accomplish this accomplishment.

The CSK skipper is also the fifth-highest run-scorer in the history of IPL finals, with a total of 180 runs. The first player on the list is Suresh Raina with 249 runs, followed Shane Watson (236), Rohit Sharma(183), and Murli Vijay (181). Apart from this, he has got 170 runs in the IPL finals, which isKnown for his lightning-fast wicket-keeping, the CSK skipper has also achieved the most number of catches by a wicketkeeper in the IPL finals. Dhoni has got six catches, followed by Quinton de Cock with 4, and Kamran Akmal and Dinesh Karthik with two each.

Last but not least, Dhoni has participated in 10 IPL finals as a captain, the most of any other skipper to date. The other players on the list are Rohit Sharma, who has played in five matches, Gautam Gambhir, who has played in two matches, and Hardik Pandya.
