Abhinav Mukund, a former star of CSK, made fun of RCB after they benched Mohammed Siraj, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, and Alzarri Joseph.

Social media followers continue to find amusing material about Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match between the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Royal Challengers of Bangalore (RCB) saw RCB give up the most runs ever in the team’s history, 287/3, led by Travis Head. The match was lost by 25 runs as RCB could only muster 262/7 in response. Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green, two of the most expensive players in the league, are Australians, and the organization made a daring decision by benching them for the game.

Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Abhinav Mukund couldn’t resist the chance to make fun of the Bengaluru team after seeing players like Maxwell and Green sitting on the bench next to other high-profile players like Alzarri Joseph and Mohammed Siraj.

“17.5+11.5+11+7 crore on the bench for RCB,” Mukund tweeted, mentioning Green, Joseph, Maxwell, and Siraj on X, the previous Twitter platform.

Maxwell chose to leave the squad, citing physical and mental exhaustion, while other players were benched by the management.
“The choice was really simple. I told Faf and the coaches that it was probably time to try someone else (instead of him) after the most recent game (against the Mumbai Indians). “It’s a good time for me to take a mental and physical break and take care of my body,” Maxwell stated during the news conference after the game.
“I can hopefully get back into a solid mental and physical space where I can make an impact if I’m required to get in during the tournament,” Maxwell stated during the news conference following the game.In the six games he has played this season, Maxwell has failed to live up to his hype, scoring just 32 runs at a 5.33 average and a lackluster 94 strike-rate.
Maxwell scored 28 of his 32 runs in the game against the Kolkata Knight Riders alone.
