Sreesanth’s comments coincided with allegations that the KCA had harmed Samson’s prospects of being chosen for India’s Champions Trophy team by leaving him out of the Kerala squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Former India bowler S Sreesanth has been suspended by the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) for three years for allegedly making false and disparaging remarks about the KCA in relation to the dispute surrounding Sanju Samson’s exclusion from the Indian team for the Champions Trophy. The KCA stated in a statement that the decision was made during its special General Body meeting on April 30 in Kochi. At the moment, Sreesanth shares ownership of the Kerala Cricket League franchise team Kollam Aeries.Show-cause notices have already been sent to Sreesanth, the franchise teams Kollam Aeries, Alappuzha Team Lead, and Alappuzha Ripples in connection with his contentious comments.

“No further action will be taken against the franchise teams because they responded to the notices in a satisfactory manner. Nonetheless, the panel recommended using more care when assigning people to team management, according to the statement.Additionally, it stated that the General Body decided to bring a compensation claim against Samson Vishwanath, Sanju Samson’s father, and two other people for utilizing Sanju Samson’s identity to make unfounded accusations.

Sreesanth, a member of the India team that won two World Cups, was given a show-cause notice by the KCA for his comments during a panel discussion on a Malayalam television channel that connected Samson and the state cricket organization.

The KCA explained in a statement that the notice was given for making false and disparaging remarks about the association, not for endorsing Samson.Sreesanth allegedly accused the KCA during the televised conversation while promising Samson his backing and protecting him and other Kerala players.

His comments coincided with criticism of the KCA for allegedly affecting Samson’s prospects of being chosen for India’s Champions Trophy team by leaving him out of the Kerala squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
