For the majority of the game, KKR appeared to be in complete control, but RR’s substitute skipper Riyan Parag’s brilliant 95 gave them hope of winning, chasing 207. In the penultimate over, Shubham Dubey came close to scoring 22 runs, but KKR narrowly prevailed thanks to a run out on the final ball. Earlier, Andre Russell, KKR’s standout all-rounder, got back to his best, hitting a 25-ball 57 to help the team reach 206/4. The victory preserved KKR’s chances of making the playoffs.
