Gujarat Titans defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs on Friday in the Indian Premier League.
In their IPL 2025 match in Gujarat, the Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 38 runs thanks to a 76-run batting performance from Shubman Gill. With Gill at the helm and helpful inputs from Jos Buttler (64) and B Sai Sudharsan (48), GT amassed 224/6 in 20 overs for the first innings. Travis Head of SRH responded by leaving after Rashid Khan made an incredible catch. Abhishek Sharma’s 41-ball 74 was in vain as Prasidh Krishna bowled a stunning spell of 2/19 in four overs. As a result, SRH is virtually eliminated from the IPL 2025 playoff race, while Gujarat Titans move up to second place.
