In Thursday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match against the Mumbai Indians, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a rookie player for the Rajasthan Royals, was bowled for a 2-ball duck, ending his impressive form. Vaibhav entered the match with a lot of buzz after making history in the previous match as the youngest batter to score a century in the IPL. For Vaibhav, however, the Mumbai Indians match was quite different because he was unable to even access his account. When MI star Rohit Sharma gestured to the teenager after RR lost the match by a score of 100 runs, it went viral.The Royals were formally eliminated from the IPL playoffs after their loss to Mumbai. Rohit approached Vaibhav as the two sides shook hands following the game and offered some words of support to the young player, who was undoubtedly depressed about his performance.

Ryan Rickleton, Rohit Sharma’s opening partner, won Player of the Match after hitting 63 off of 38 balls against the Royals.

The South African responded, “It was a bit of a slow start getting into the tournament for both of us, but we are clicking and it is incredible to be out there with him,” when questioned about his relationship with Rohit.
