Riyan Parag’s old tweet goes viral after the 2025 Indian Premier League’s six-sixes mayhem.
With an exciting victory over the Rajasthan Royals on Sunday at the Eden Gardens, the Kolkata Knight Riders maintained their hopes of making it to the IPL 2025 playoffs. With Andre Russell returning to form and hitting 57* off 25 balls, KKR amassed a massive total of 206/4 in 20 overs after choosing to bat. Later, RR came very close to winning by a landslide, but KKR recovered and won by a single run. Riyan Parag, the skipper of RR, was their biggest star. He maintained his team in the hunt with a hammering 95 off 45 balls.
Parag also had a “dream comes true” moment during his 95-run knock, hitting six consecutive sixes. As the KKR all-rounder gave up 32 runs in the 13th over of RR’s chase, Parag smashed five straight sixes off Moeen Ali.
Parag later completed his six sixes by hitting another six off Varun Chakarvarthy on the second delivery of the fourteenth over.
Parag made this event more memorable since two years prior to the start of the 2023 Indian Premier League, the cricketer from Assam posted on X (previously Twitter) that he had dreamed about striking four sixes in an over.

RR, who are already out of the postseason picture, lost to KKR by one run despite playing a remarkable knock.
“Unfortunately, I was out in the 18th over, even though I had intended to stay until the final two overs. I made a mistake in my computation. We could have, in my opinion, found better solutions in the final six overs. Other bowling possibilities, perhaps. We should have completed it; we have no one else to complain to. In retrospect, we may have taken a different approach,” Parag stated at the presentation held after the game.
