After a long wait because of the weather in Dharamsala, the game had begun. The PBKS vs. DC match was therefore called off after 10.1 overs, and both players and spectators were evacuated from HPCA Stadium.

For security considerations, the IPL 2025 match between the Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala has been canceled. As a “precautionary step, because there are some incidents which happened in Jammu,” IPL chairman Arun Dhumal said that the match was called off. Notably, when Pakistani missiles were intercepted in the area, Jammu, which is around 200 kilometers from Dharamsala, experienced a blackout. The match was canceled for security grounds, according to news agency PTI, after air raid sirens in the surrounding areas caused a blackout in the hill town. Before two more did the same, one of the floodlight towers went out. After a while, only one floodlight tower remained operational. According to PTI’s report, the stadium’s patrons were asked to leave. Speaking about the match, Punjab Kings chose to bat first when the power went out and ended up 122 for 1 in 10.1 overs.
