In what turned out to be a spectacular finish to their IPL 2025 campaign, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) outclassed Gujarat Titans (GT) by 83 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, in their final league match of the season.
Batting first, CSK put on a mammoth total of 230/5 in their 20 overs. The charge was led by impressive half-centuries from Devon Conway and young star Dewald Brevis, who showcased power and precision to dismantle the GT bowling attack.
In reply, GT crumbled under pressure, getting bowled out for just 147 in 18.3 overs. Chennai’s bowlers, led by their spinners and disciplined pace attack, ensured there was no comeback for the Titans.
Though this emphatic win didn’t affect CSK’s standing at the bottom of the points table, it provided a morale-boosting end to a disappointing season. Fans were treated to a vintage performance, possibly the last of its kind, as MS Dhoni sparked retirement rumors with his post-match remarks: “Not saying I’m coming back.”
