As PBKS chose to bowl first and bundled out CSK for 190, Chahal’s hat-trick overshadowed Sam Curran’s 88 off 47 balls in the first innings. At one point, Curran’s knock—which featured nine fours and four sixes—had CSK on track to reach 200, but Chahal’s four-wicket over reversed the tide. In the 19th over, he bowled and took all four of the wickets. Figures of 4 for 32 were returned by the leg-spinner in three overs. While pursuing,Iyer helped PBKS win the chase after hitting 72 off 41 balls with five fours and four sixes. Additionally, Prabhsimran Singh’s 54 off 36 aided the team.
